\n This antique is from the early 1900’s and appears to be an English Tudor design. I believe this to be walnut with burl and curly or “birdseye” maple veneer. This China cabinet with fretwork over glass single door and lower adorned drawer is quite unique. It was painted and I had it stripped and redone, but a bit more work could be done. The veneer is coming off in some places and cracked a bit in other places. It is still quite remarkable though, I think. I know that the feet do not belong to this piece, although I have not yet found replacements. The cabinet has three fixed shelves with grooves in the back to display plates or décor.
This cabinet is from the C.M. Bott Furniture Co., which was founded by Charles M. Bott and was in business in Buffalo, N.Y., from 1914 to about 1931.
This rare piece measures 55″ high by 44” wide, and 16” deep
