Vintage Design
Power Play club chair, designed by the architect Frank Gehry in 1990 for Knoll U.S.A.
The chair is marked and dated 08/98.
It is constructed of maple veneers in 5cm wide styrips laminated to 6-9 ply thickness with high-bonding glue. All wood grains run in the same direction to improve the suspension properties. The backrest is flexible and comfortable, and no mounting adhesives were used in the woven seat surfaces for the best tension-compression behavior.
The chair is in excellent condition. It has been used as an art object only.
