Vintage Design
Very nice set of two “bistro” chairs by Jacob & Josef Kohn. These Viennese chairs bear the number 67 of the catalog of this Austrian company founded in 1848.
They are characterized by a solid structure in wooden beech wood and by a thermoformed base and backrest. This embossed wood forms Art Nouveau style relief patterns.
The very good base with the granite aspect is surrounded and stained on the front and bolted on the back. The files are openwork, curved and overturned to the rear.
Each chair carries the J & J Kohn stamp under the belt. Some still have the stamp “Jacob & Josef Kohn, Wien” under the seat.
