Mid Century Hinged Abalone and Brass Box, Mosaic Pattern on Lid, Wood-Lined

Beautiful hinged brass box with abalone mosaic on lid, wood-lined. The pattern of the mosaic contrasts beautifully with the brass; the iridescence of the abalone is luminous in shades of green, tan and pink. This piece looks great as part of a group, or independently on a bureau or side table.

In good vintage condition, no chips, or cracks. No missing pieces in the mosaic. Some age-related scratches and minor wear to the brass. Hinge in good working order. Wood-lined interior is in good condition.
