We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning suite of Victorian George Hepplewhite style Mahogany dining chairs from Spencer House which was built for the Spencer family between 1756-1766 for John, the first Earl Spencer, currently resides Charles Spencer the 9th Earl Spencer, which is still owned by Lady Diana Spencer’s family, the history of the items is that Lord Rothschild in the 1980’s leased the property, at that time the house was restored, the pieces furnished the offices, meeting rooms and the newly restored State rooms. Included with each listing is a picture of the piece in situs. These chairs are made in the Hepplewhite style, they have a kind of wheatgrass finish to the back rests and Regency style spade feet, they are very good looking well made and decorative pieces The suite has been deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished from top to bottom, they will have some age and use related patina marks all over Carver dimensions Height:- 97cm Width:- 61.5cm Depth:- 61.5cm Seat height:- 48cm Normal chair dimensions Height:- 96.5cm Width:- 54.5cm Depth:- 56cm Seat height:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point.
