Alexander Mcqueen’s Spring 2009 collection showcases the romantic, ethereal and purist side of the designer in his effort to send his message regarding the evolution of the world in the 21st century. This collection is considered to be one of his most happy and most commercially viable.
This dress fashioned in one of the silk abstract prints showcased in the collection is also designed in his signature hourglass silhouette. Very substantial in construction in a golden yellow with splashes of orange, green, white and brown. The silk fabric has a crystalized topcoat producing an interesting sheen to the material. Neckline features a nude net panel and the raised lightly padded shoulder treatment give definition and distinction to the style. A very wearable and a highly collectable Mcqueen futuristic design. Beautifully lined in silk; back zipper closure with back kickpleat finishes the look.
