19th Century Copper Medallion- Tomb of George Washington by James Crutchett

This listing is for a rare copper relief medallion commemorating George Washington. This one depicts George Washington’s tomb.

This piece is by James Crutchett Circa 1880. It comes from the Mount Vernon Factory and the wooden frame is most likely made from wood from Mount Vernon.

The reverse retains its original paper label.

It is tutored “Memento No 3. Salvation” followed by religious text. The bottom of the reverse says “Copyright 1880, by James Crutchett”,

Medallion – 2.75 inches in diameter

Frame – 4.8 inches in diameter , .75” deep.
