Antique French Louis XIV Parquet Desk ~ Dining Table in Stripped Oak is a jewel of the cabinetmaker’s art! The top features an unusual contour that resembles an oval but with notched corners creating a very traffic-friendly design. The top is fitted with hand-cut parquet with alternating grain patterns which presents an interesting visual effect. The tailored apron follows the contours of the top, and hidden on the ends are two drawers that open to reveal amazing storage. The top is supported by four boldly scrolled and carved cabriole legs which are in turn connected with double lyre stretchers centered with an acanthus rosette. The legs are each carved with scallop shells and acanthus fronds both descending and ascending up from the feet for a majestic look. Painstakingly stripped using our proprietary process that retains the patina and sheer natural beauty of the old wood, all performed by our expert in-house staff.

Dramatic extending dining table with two leaves produced in the 70s in Colombia by William Piedrahita for Thomas Britt. The table features a horn veneered top and sides in a stylish chevron style pattern. The table measures 84 inches wide and 126 inches wide with the two leaves installed. The table top has 2 inch thick sides which are veneered. The top is supported by a pair of repurposed sawhorse legs on each end that are not attached and do not adjust in height. The versatile table could serve as a work table, dining table, or even displayed as decorative art work on a wall. Numerous small losses and lifting veneer as seen in photos. Includes two 21 inch leaves.

Good overall condition. All welds are intact. Structurally sound and sturdy design. Some light scratches to the glass top. No major visible chips or clams shell dings to the edge of the glass.

This is a super nice, really neat and rare table that is rock solid and in superb condition. This table has the space saving extension that take it from 50” wide by 43” deep. When the extensions are pulled out it increase the width to a full 96” wide (8’). You can add one, two, three, or 4 extensions depending on your needs. The table top is in super nice shape and shows mostly like new. Absolutely stunning custom onyx table.

The table was purchased from a Santa Barbara retirement estate of a wealthy JP Morgan bank Exec. This table was custom made in 1976 for the dining room, of their family vacation home, in Brazil. They sold that home in 2007 because they were getting too old to travel but they shipped their favorite pieces home to live with them in California.

The design and construction of this table is incredible. It is very intricate, lattice designed top and 4 legs constructed of stacked caramel and cream onyx in the shape of an X or a T depending on how you view it. The original owner told us, that when it was used as a dining table, it supported a 78″ square piece of glass.

Perfect as center table as is or add a glass top and use it as a dining table or even as a unique work table in a creative space.

Piece is installation ready. It is in perfect condition with no imperfections to be noted.
