Absolutely beautiful late 19th century Swedish ‘Folk Art’ country farm dining table in pine. Because of the dry-out pine grain, true al these years, this table has a fantastic ‘lived true’ character what makes it a real eye catcher into you interior / place. The 29,5 Inches height makes that the table also match with modern chairs. Space between the table top carriers and the floor is 61 cm or 24 inches. In 1986, Ettore Sottsass & Marco Zanini were invited by Austrian furniture producer Franz Leitner, to design an entire collection. The result was the famous ‘Donau’ (Danube) collection, composed of different furniture pieces, all produced in a large variety of varying burl woods and birds-eye maple veneer mixed with extremely colourful lacquered wood elements.
Many of these pieces are also integrated into the über-stunning decor of Villa Dorane, the lavish property in southern France decorated in the mid-nineties by Ettore Sottsass for Jean Pigozzi.

This table is made of birdseye maple wood with lacquered legs.
It was acquired directly from the family members of Franz Leitner, who have been since the 80s in their family properties.

An exceptional Swiss Black Forest walnut marquetry tilt-top table The shield form table top, with a marquetry inlay presenting superb examples of original pen-work, and carved apron supported by an intricately carved tripod base. What sets this piece apart from the rest is its enormous size. Most tilt-top tables from Brienz measure under 60cm across, with the vast majority of them around 50 cm across. However this example measures a massive 120cm across, more than double the size of most of its kind. The inlay is exquisitely detailed with hunting scenes and animals typically found in the region. The carved apron and tripod base are also of incredible quality. with almost every inch of this huge table being either hand carved or inlaid, it is easy to imagine it as a standout item in any shop or home of the 19th century.

Table in a heavy rustic solid oak table, work table, kitchen, simple construction but in solid wood made using wooden boards left almost natural, slightly worked. Italy era 1900.
