A French early 17th century large scale period Louis XIII oak wardrobe with two doors over one drawer, geometric décor and original hardware.
with this piece, we are in the middle of the reign of King Louis XIII (the original creator of Versailles and father of the future Sun King), that sees the birth of a new form of furniture, the armoire. In perfect tradition with the Louis XIII period.
This armoire features a large cornice sitting above two nicely carved doors with raised geometric motifs (‘ en pointes de diamants’). The lower section comprises one large drawer resting on an oversized beveled plinth.
The ensemble is raised on two bun feet. with its great patina and scale, combined with a linear silhouette accented by the excellent carving, this French Louis XIII oak armoire, circa 1620 will be a definite focal accent in any room.

On 5 spherical feet of two-door disassemblable oak corpus with corner slopes. Divided by 3 pilasters with ionic capitals. Exposing crazy cornice. Profiled base with 2 drawers. Doors on external fits with folding stars in the frame profiled fillings. Pages too.

Interior design is made as desired, with either a clothing rail or 4 shelf floors, or a 2 division with shelf floors and clothes rail.

Beautiful wall unit wardrobe, cabinet designed in pure lines by Alfred Hendricks for Belform. A rare version of the design that is practical to use for a wardrobe. Beside the eight large drawers the furniture is featured into a side for hanging clothes with a bar for shoes at the bottom. Three compartments on top for laying items. The cabinet can be completely dismantled, which is also practical for worldwide transport. The Wardrobe is in perfect condition.
