This is a vintage centennial company medallion. An American, bronze corporate anniversary keepsake for the J Walter Thompson advertising agency, dated 1964.

Founded in New York City in 1864, the James Walter Thompson advertising agency was one of the first to open in the United States under the name Carlton & Smith. Incorporated as J. Walter Thompson in 1896, by 1899 the firm had opened a London branch before expanding to Africa and Asia. Long-standing clients include Unilver, Ford and Rolex watches.

Metal sculpture of a figure flying a kite mounted on a wooden base. This piece measures approximately 10 inches high by 10 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches deep. A very cute whimsical piece of original art.

Large vintage rectangular silver plated tray with gorgeous ornate grape detail around the edge and ornate handles, and an embossed or engraved base. In well used vintage condition with lots of patina, some shallow scratches and some spots of corrosion and tarnish from age and use. This has been worn down to reveal the copper underneath, as seen in the photos. Could be polished. I love this kind of patina, as it takes many years to develop. This piece is very heavy. The tray is rectangular, has two handles, no feet. The bottom side is heavily tarnished and marked:

Pair of large antique brass and metal andirons with ornate victorian design and claw feet. Lots of good patina on these from age and use.

Limoges candleholder. The candle holder is for is porcelain and measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 inches in height. It appears to have a signature.

Large ceramic plate wall decor Sevilla Tipica Arte De La Ceramica Cabinet Plate of a hand painted Medieval Knight Riding A Horse. This large cabinet plate has a lovely Majolica look to it. It is signed on the bottom as well as the backside. There is also a decal attached to the back of the plate.

A dramatic and unique embroidered textile, still stretched on its frame, of St. Fabiola, female physician of the 4th century.

Fabiola was a physician and Roman matron of rank of the company of noble Roman women who, under the influence of the Church father Jerome, gave up all earthly pleasures and devoted themselves to the practice of Christian asceticism and charitable work.

This embroidered work is based on the lost 1885 painting of Fabiola depicted in left-facing profile wearing a red headscarf by French artist Jean-Jacques Henner. It is a Matsubato Japan silk needlework pattern, likely from the 1960s.

Part of the charm and beauty of this unique piece is the fact that it’s still stretched on a frame, with thumbtacks, but is a finished work. Stunning detail, shading, and composition, with the Matsubato pattern stamps adding to the charm. Buyer could hang as-is (no hardware is included), or have it professionally framed.

Excellent vintage condition. One or two places where a thread is looped out a bit, but the texture of the thread makes these places very difficult to notice or photograph.
